After a year and a half on the film festival circuit, the multi-award winning debut from writer/director Ian Ebright returns to the internet for what is likely to be its permanent stay. ‘From the Sky’ is now available to watch for free via YouTube and Vimeo. Thus far, ‘From the Sky’ has earned 12 awards, 5 nominations, and 27 film festival appearances.

‘From the Sky’ took home the award for Best Short Film at the Ellensburg Film Festival this month. The 11th annual gathering selected the film out of a highly regarded roster of domestic and international shorts. The historic city previously served as the home base for the ‘From the Sky’ production team during principal photography.

The win marks the 12th time ‘From the Sky’ has earned a trophy since it premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival on April 30, 2014.

From the Sky’ took home the award for Best Short at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival in mid-August. The eighth annual gathering selected Ian Ebright’s multi-award winning debut out of a lengthy roster of officially selected domestic and international shorts, and announced the win at an awards ceremony held in Washougal, Washington

The ninth annual Rainier Independent Film Festival awarded ‘From the Sky’ with the top honor in the narrative shorts category at the closing ceremony held on Sunday, May 17th in Ashford, Washington.
