March Point will air on PBS’s Independent Lens in the fall of 2008 and has been selected to screen at several International Film Festivals.

The Swinomish Reservation is a clamming, crabbing and fishing community that has relied on the natural resources of the Skagit Valley for centuries. In the late 1950s, two oil refineries were built on March Point, an area that was once part of the Swinomish Tribal lands by treaty. Told by Nick, Cody, and Travis, three Swinomish teens coming of age on their reservation, March Point follows the boys’ investigation into the impact of the refineries on their community and environment, and how the process of filmmaking changed their lives.

The new 2008 series Rudy Maxa’s World, to be distributed by American Public Television in cooperation with Twin Cities Public Television, is expected to debut on public television stations April 08.

Rudy Maxa is one of America’s premier consumer travel experts. A former Washington Post investigative reporter and life-long traveler, Maxa is host and producer of 65, half-hour shows on public television. His was the first series to be filmed entirely in High Definition for public television. Maxa is known to public radio listeners as "the Savvy Traveler." His reporting at the Washington Post was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and two of his articles for National Geographic Traveler earned him Lowell Thomas Bronze Awards for excellence in travel writing from the Society of American Travel Writers.

Uno Mas highlights the long, illustrious musical career of Israel “Cachao” Lopez and his unlikely yet powerful relationship with Actor/Director Andy Garcia. Cachao, a child prodigy and classically trained bass player from Cuba, has been instrumental in the transformation of Latin music. Cachao and his brother Orestes wrote the Mambo. Cachao also introduced the “descargas” or free form improvisation into the genre. Garcia, like Cachao, is an exile of Cuba. He finds Cachao’s music in his youth and meets Cachao the Man later in his life. Garcia becomes devoted to promoting Cachao’s legacy and directs a documentary about is idol in 1993 and produced 3 albums with him; two receive Grammy Awards. A storyteller, father figure, commanding band leader and virtuoso on the bass, Cachao is revered by everyone in the industry. Includes concert footage from Bimbos in San Francisco.
